My New-Old Chairs...

The hubs and I hit an estate sale yesterday morning, and I instantly feel in love with these two chairs!  They were $100, which I thought was a pretty good deal, but hubby wasn't convinced.  So, we kept looking around and then, I spotted another couple checking out my chairs...I was panicking!  I was convinced they would buy them, and I wanted to yell across the room, "get away from my chairs!"  lol But, I just kept eyeing Stacy, then the chairs, and making my sad puppy dog face.  Stacy just kept laughing at me.  Finally, the other couple walked away, and Stacy said if I really wanted them I could get them, so I ran to the front to pay for them as fast as I could!

They need to be reupholstered, but I figure with all the tutorials I have pinned on pinterest, I should be able to manage. I can't wait to get started, but first, I have to paint the kitchen and hang new moldings. Then, make curtains....THEN, I will finally be able to get started...so I figure by the summer time...lol but I'll be sure to share pics when they are done!

Retail Therapy...

So, after my sickening experience of being too dumb to work my smart phone on Monday (for those of you who haven't noticed all them missing pics on my blog...I deleted ALL my blog pics from my smartphone Monday...yeah...all of them...I thought I was just deleting them from my phone, but nope...they're all gone.  Oh well, I had been contemplating updating some of my photos, but I guess now I have too!  lol)  Anyway, I went shopping, and nothing makes you feel better than a bag full of pretty new fabric and patterns...well, me anyway... 

Aren't they pretty?!?  I can't wait to get started!  Too bad I've got about 50 baskets of clothes to fold before, I can start sewing...lol

Mardi Gras Petti Skirt

I mentioned on my FB  page that I have been working on my first petti skirt.  I also mentioned that I finally got a smartphone!  It's a Samsung Skyrocket, and I love it!  Anyway, the point is...when I finished the pettiskirt, I was determined to take the pics with my new phone and upload them from there.  The good news is I finally figured it out...The bad news is I accidentally deleted all the pics in the process...except one...so here it is...my first petti skirt:

My Lil' Mardi Gras

Finished the boys Mardi Gras costumes yesterday and they have been wearing them round the clock!  Then, today I come out of the bathroom only to find Ian in this get up....

That kid cracks me up!
